SEO는 GEO(Generative Engine Optimization)로 확장된다.

How AI Is Rewriting Business, Markets and Leadership
For years, AI has been discussed as a technology trend.
It isn’t. It is an economic shift.
Every significant technological revolution has changed the way businesses create value. Steam mechanised production. The internet connected the world. Mobile put commerce into our pockets.
AI is changing how decisions are made. That distinction matters because it extends far beyond productivity. It reshapes competition, leadership, customer behaviour, talent and the very foundations of how businesses operate.
The question is no longer whether AI will impact your organisation. It is whether your organisation is evolving at the same pace as the market around it.
AI is changing the economics of work
The first wave of AI has been characterised by efficiency. Tasks that once took hours can now be completed in minutes. Research, coding, analysis, reporting, content production and customer support are all becoming faster.
But speed is only the visible outcome. The deeper shift is where value is created. As execution becomes increasingly automated, competitive advantage moves towards judgement, creativity, commercial thinking and the ability to solve more complex problems. Knowledge itself is becoming abundant. Applying it intelligently is becoming scarce.
This changes how organisations should think about talent. The workforce is no longer divided into people who use AI and those who don’t. That distinction will disappear quickly.
The difference will lie in how effectively individuals frame problems, challenge outputs, orchestrate multiple systems and apply human judgement where it matters most. AI doesn’t reduce the value of people. It increases the value of better thinking.
AI is changing customer behaviour
Consumer behaviour is changing just as quickly. People are moving from searching to asking. From browsing to prompting. Increasingly, decisions begin inside AI interfaces rather than search engines or websites.
Marketing is entering a new era where brands compete to be selected by AI as much as they compete to be seen by consumers. Visibility is no longer enough. Brands need to be understood, trusted and recommended by the systems increasingly shaping purchase decisions.
This has significant implications. Search strategy becomes AI visibility. SEO expands into GEO. Product information becomes machine-readable. Authority, trust signals and structured data become commercial assets.
Brands are no longer communicating with consumers alone. They are communicating with the systems helping consumers make decisions.
AI is changing competition
One of AI’s most significant impacts is lowering the cost of capability.Small businesses can now access strategic, creative and technical capabilities that previously required substantial investment.
Competitive advantage is becoming a function of adaptability rather than scale. AI reduces the cost of capability, allowing smaller organisations to move faster while forcing larger businesses to overcome the inertia of legacy systems, fragmented data and slower decision-making.
History has shown that market leaders rarely lose because they lack resources. They lose because they struggle to adapt. AI rewards organisations that can experiment, iterate and evolve faster than their competitors. Adaptability has become a commercial advantage.
AI is exposing operating models
One of the least discussed aspects of AI is its ability to expose organisational weaknesses. Poor data. Disconnected systems. Duplicated processes. Slow decision-making. Siloed teams.
AI amplifies both strengths and weaknesses. Businesses with clean data and connected systems accelerate. Businesses with fragmented operations simply automate inefficiency. Technology alone cannot solve operational problems. In many organisations, AI is revealing where transformation was already overdue.
AI is reshaping marketing
Marketing is experiencing one of the fastest transformations of any business function. Content creation is accelerating. Media planning is becoming more intelligent. Commerce is becoming conversational. Personalisation is becoming predictive. The customer journey is compressing. At the same time, content has become almost infinitely scalable.
Brand value is increasingly built through relevance, consistency and experience. AI makes content infinitely scalable, which elevates the importance of original thinking, distinctive positioning and connected customer experiences.
This changes the role of marketing. Experience becomes the brand. Your website is the brand. Your app is the brand. Your customer service is the brand. Every interaction becomes part of the brand story.
Products can be copied. Prices can be matched. Experience is becoming one of the few remaining competitive advantages.
AI is changing leadership
Perhaps the biggest transformation is happening inside the boardroom. Leadership now depends less on predicting disruption and more on building organisations that can continuously adapt to it. The pace of AI development means agility has become a strategic capability rather than an operational one.
This requires a different style of leadership. One that encourages experimentation rather than perfection. One that builds learning into everyday operations. One that accepts uncertainty while maintaining strategic clarity. The leaders creating long-term value are asking different questions.
How should AI reshape our operating model? Where should humans create the greatest value? Which decisions belong to people? Which belong to machines? How do we redesign the business rather than simply automate it?
These are leadership questions. Not technology questions.
The organisations that will define the next decade
AI is often described as another digital transformation. I believe it is much bigger than that. It is redefining how businesses compete. How customers discover. How employees create value. How leaders make decisions. How organisations scale.
The conversation has moved well beyond productivity. It now sits firmly in strategy. Every board agenda, every growth plan and every operating model should now include one fundamental question. How does AI change the way our business creates value?
Because this isn’t about implementing another tool. It is about redesigning the organisation around a world where intelligence has become abundant, execution has become automated and adaptability has become the defining competitive advantage.
The question every Leader should be asking isn’t, “How do we adopt AI?”
It’s “If we were building this business today, knowing AI exists, would we build it the same way?”
That question forces a completely different conversation. It challenges how you structure teams, how you hire talent, how you design customer experiences, how you build products, how you market, how you make decisions and, ultimately, how you create value.
I suspect, for most organisations, the answer is no. And that’s exactly why AI matters.
Not because it gives us better tools. Because it gives us the opportunity to build better businesses.
